When repair may be enough
A localized repair may be reasonable when the roof covering and underlying water-management details are sound and the repair area is outside the planned array. Include roof cost, panel removal-and-reinstall risk, financing interest, electrical upgrades, monitoring, maintenance, verified incentives, and the cost of delay. There is no responsible single DMV payback number without the address, usage, roof, utility, financing, and incentive facts.

Confirm who is responsible for roof damage, flashing, leaks, panel removal, storage, reinstallation, warranties, workmanship defects, insurance, and roof access if the home is sold. Ask whether the solar agreement is assignable and whether a future buyer must assume any obligation.
